
This is a simple poke recipe, combined with the beauty of our coasts flowers.
Wild Allium is a great replacement for onion. You can find it foraged seasonally by The North Coast Forager, available on Instagram or look for them Saturdays in Gualala!
Ingredients
1 lb Bluefin Tuna Loin
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1 Tbsp Chili Crisp or Chili Oil
2 tsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
1 bunch green onions, sliced
Allium Flowers from North Coast Forager
1-2 Calendula Flowers, petals for decoration
Preparation
Slice your Bluefin Tuna loin into small, half inch or less pieces.
In a medium bowl, combine tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili crisp or oil, green onions, & Allium flowers. Mix well. Let the fish marinate for at least 15-20min, stirring occasionally.
Serve over rice. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and Calendula petals for decoration.
